This is our favorite version of “rice cereal” — a much healthier than the boxed stuff and such a sweet little tradition in our family. My mom made it for all of us growing up, so it’s special to offer it to our babies first. That said, I’m a huge fan of baby-led feeding too. This gentle cereal is just a soft start to wake up the palate — then it’s all about letting them explore all the colorful fruits and veggies! (And PSA: starting solids with safe, self-fed foods around 6 months can actually lower the risk of choking, so breathe easy mama.
